The Basics of Baccarat

Baccarat is the easiest and most uncomplicated game there is in online casinos. The most important thing to know in online baccarat is learning where you should bet. You can bet on the Player, the Bank or on a Tie. Betting on a Tie gives a high-payout but the chances of winning on that bet is very low.

Online baccarat is a game of chance. As a player all you would have to decide is what hand you think will win. The concept may be simple but knowing the basic rules will help a player understand what is going on at the baccarat table.

In baccarat it does not matter what other players' strategies are at the table. This is because in baccarat you are not playing against one another or the house. The only thing players bet against in online baccarat are the cards. So when playing baccarat try not to care much about the amount other players are betting.

Online baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards without the jokers. The beginning of a new game starts when the Cut Card in the Shoe is dealt. The dealer will shuffle all the decks together and then put them back in the shoe called the "Bank".

Then the dealer will take the very first card out. The value of the first card drawn will indicate how many cards will be burned. For example if the value of the card drawn is a four, the dealer will discard four cards. The four discarded cards together with the 1st card will be put in a tray beside the dealer.

Then after all the pre-game rituals baccarat is ready to begin.

At the start of a new game the shoe or the bank will be given to the player to the right of the dealer. Each player will then be given a chance to hold the bank. The bank can be held on by the player as long as he or she is winning. The bank will move on once the player looses.

All bets should all be made before the cards are dealt in online baccarat.

The player with the bank will then deal two sets of two cards if there are only two players at the table. The hand that is closest to 9 will win.

Players can automatically win if a "Natural" is drawn. A "Natural" is when the first two cards dealt count 8 or 9. When both hands have the same value it will be considered a tie. When no one has a natural, additional cards are drawn to determine the winner of online baccarat.

The payoff when one wins is 1:1. A tie pays 1:8 but, as mentioned above, this has a very low chance of happening.

The value of the face cards in baccarat is 0. The aces value is only 1. And the value of the other cards is their face value. When you add the hand that has been dealt to you, the first digit will be discarded. For example you get an 8 and 4 which amounts to 12. The value of the hand will only be 2.
